Dial up your pizza night with buffalo tofu pizza! This delicious pie is a huge world of flavor where creamy white sauce balances the spicy tofu and hot honey beautifully. The crunchy, chewy crust gives it that perfect texture!
Why I Love This Recipe
I love a recipe that makes it easy to put leftovers to good use. And if you made a big batch of my crispy buffalo tofu bites and couldn’t eat it all in one sitting, this pizza is the perfect way to make those leftovers the star of the show!
The beauty of this recipe is how well all the ingredients balance on another. The creamy white sauce melds with the heat of the spicy tofu and hot honey for an unbelievable melody of flavors. Plus the texture of the tofu combined with the crunchy crust and ooey-gooey melted cheese are unbelievably satisfying.
This is a great pizza for vegetarians and meat eaters alike. The way the tofu absorbs the flavors of the creamy white sauce and mozzarella is just downright dreamy. And with the added kick from the sliced jalapeños, hot honey, and buffalo sauce? EVERYONE will be reaching for another slice!
Maybe my favorite part is that this glorious pie can be ready with only 10 minutes of prep and 25 minutes of baking. It’s perfect for busy weeknights or crazy game days when you just want something awesome and delicious!
Where Do You Find Quality Pizza Dough?
Great question! If you haven’t settled on your perfect pizza dough yet, I have a few recommendations to get you started.
You can usually find premade pizza dough in the deli sections and freezer sections of most grocery stores. This is the most convenient option for me if I’m just running out to grab a few ingredients.
If you have a little time to plan ahead, try stopping into your favorite pizza shop. They’ll often sell you a few portions of their dough! This is a great way to support your local pizza joint while also getting to enjoy your favorite crust. Win-win!
If you pick up a few portions, just set one aside to make your buffalo pizza, then wrap the rest in plastic wrap and store them in the freezer. I recommend moving one to the refrigerator and letting it thaw overnight before you plan to use it.
Variations for Buffalo Tofu Pizza
Not really into tofu? Or maybe have some guests that aren’t big fans? You can always swap out the crispy buffalo tofu bites for buffalo chicken instead! You can cook your own, or grab some rotisserie chicken and toss it with your favorite buffalo sauce.
Looking for more heat? Add an extra drizzle of buffalo sauce. You could also serve some on the side for dipping.
Prefer a little less heat? Choose a mild buffalo sauce and consider swapping out the hot honey for regular honey. When choosing jalapeños, look for ones with really smooth skin, as these will be less spicy than ones with a lot of striations. And make sure to scrape all the seeds out!
If jalapeños are just too hot, banana peppers would add a great tang with less heat. You could also do a half-and-half pizza so everyone can choose their own spice adventure!
What to Serve with Buffalo Pizza
- Chopped Asian Cabbage Slaw — The cool and crunchy slaw is a refreshing way to add even more awesome texture to your meal.
- Green Onion Ranch — Need something to cool down your mouth? You’re going to fall in love with this cross between ranch and green goddess dressing!
- Grilled Mango Salsa — If you’re in the mood for anything and everything flavorful, this salsa is for you.
- Lemon Parmesan Grilled Asparagus — While the pizza’s in the oven, just throw your asparagus on the grill for a delicious and nutritious side!
How to Store Buffalo Tofu Pizza with Hot Honey
Leftover pizza is rarely a “problem” in my house. But any time I am lucky enough to save a slice or two, I like to store it in an airtight container and keep it in the refrigerator. I recommend enjoying your pizza within 3-4 days.
When you’re ready to reheat, you could use the oven or the stove. If you have an air fryer, pizza lovers around the world swear it’s the ONLY way to reheat a slice to perfection!
