Happy December 1st, friends! I cannot believe how quickly time goes, and the rush is on toward the ultimate holiday season, full of decorating, parties, dinner planning, shopping, and so much more. I’m excited to be partnering with Whole Foods Market again this month to share some quick, affordable, and healthy holiday options!
Most often, I get messages asking for quick appetizers for a dinner party, so luckily, I’m hitting you with three easy options today! Whole Foods Market created a booklet full of their 365 Everyday Value Items to combine for some easy but elegant appetizers! “Update Your Apps!” booklets can be found in your local store!
I love that the book incorporated their Everyday Value Line, which are free of artificial colors, sweeteners, flavors, preservatives, hydrogenated fats, and and remain high quality products at an attractive price point! My Fav!
You can head into your local WFM for a free tasting event, “Taste of Whole Foods Market”, to sample some Holiday Options, or just to get some fresh ideas! All three Cleveland Stores will be hosting this event December 2,3,9,10,16,30, from noon to 4pm. Maybe I’ll see you there? If you’re not local to CLE, check with your own store for dates and times!
Now, onto the recipes! All three took no time to assemble thanks to the help of some pre-made pickups! Enjoy!
Tostones with Spiced Pumpkin Hummus
Pumpkin Pie Spice
“Mix one container hummus with 1/3 cup pumpkin puree. Add pumpkin pie spice to taste, about 1/2 tsp. Top tostones with a dollop of pumpkin hummus and a sprinkle of pepitas, or transfer hummus to serving bowl and garnish with pepitas, with the tostones on the side”.
Crostini with White Bean Spread & Tapenade
Toasted Baguette Slices
A Can of Cannellini Beans
Fresh Rosemary & Thyme
“Mash 1 can of drained cannelloni beans and mix with leaves from a few sprigs of thyme, chopped leaves from one sprig rosemary, a couple shakes of garlic power, and salt and pepper to taste. Top crostini with white bean spread, then add olive tapenade on top”.
Sweet Potato Rounds with Goat Cheese
“Preheat oven to 350. Slice sweet potatoes into 1/4 inch round and spread on a baking sheet. Sprinkle with salt, and roast in oven until just cooked through, about 15-20 minutes. Remove from oven and crumble goat cheese on top. Place back in oven to warm the goat cheese, about 3 minutes. Top with chopped walnuts, dried cranberries, and thinly sliced green onion”.
I hope you love this time of year as much as I do, and I hope these easy & “Updated Apps” from Whole Foods Market make their way to your holiday prep this season!
