Description

One pot chicken cordon bleu pasta blends all your favorite flavors into a single pot of creamy, cheesy goodness! The sauce gets a rich smokiness from Jones Dairy Farm Canadian Bacon for a hearty, no-fuss meal GUARANTEED to satisfy.


Ingredients

– 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
– 1 pound penne pasta
– 1 package Jones Dairy Farm Canadian Bacon, diced (reserve 2 slices if you make the crispy topping)
– 2 cups shredded Swiss cheese (1 additional cup if you make the crispy topping)
– 4 cups chicken broth
– 1 cup milk
– 2 cloves garlic, smashed
– 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
– 2 tablespoons olive oil
– 1 teaspoon garlic powder
-1 cup peas
– Salt and pepper to taste
– Fresh parsley for garnish


Instructions

  1. In a large pot, add olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add chicken pieces to the pot and cook until browned on all sides.
  3. Stir in diced Canadian bacon, garlic, Dijon mustard, salt, garlic powder, and pepper. Cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  4. Pour in chicken broth, milk, and bring the mixture to a simmer.
  5. Add pasta and cook covered for 8 minutes. Uncover and cook for an additional 2 minutes or until done to your liking.
  6. Optional: Spread 1 cup of shredded cheese on a baking sheet and sprinkle ? cup diced Canadian bacon over the top. Bake at 400F until golden brown, about 5-8 minutes. Set aside to cool.
  7. Once the pasta is cooked, stir in the cheese until melted and creamy.
