5 cups cherry tomatoes

½ cup brown sugar

1 Tbsp chili paste — Sambal Oelek

1 Tsp kosher salt


  1. In a large skillet, combine the ingredients and simmer over low heat for 45-60 minutes, stirring occasionally, until tomatoes are thick and jammy.
  2. Store in air tight container in the fridge for up to 10 days.
