Summer Solstice in Cleveland.

img_1373Do you have a season? You know what I mean, the time of year when you come to life? I call it my “Summer Self”. It’s when I’m the best version of me, it’s when my limitless potential starts to show. This blog is #sponsored by Atheta, and all opinions and thoughts are my own.

Thank goodness it’s officially here, the longest day of the year. I couldn’t be happier, truly. After 9 months of winter in Cleveland, when summer comes to town, it’s time to get outdoors and do everything from sip wine on a patio, to grabbing a beach workout right on Lake Erie.

These are the days that unite Clevelanders, keep us level headed and happy, and give us a chance to stock up on Vitamin D before winter comes back around.

Truly can’t think of a better place to spend the first official day of Summer, than at the beach. Running outside, grabbing a hiit circuit in the park, or catching a beach yoga class are just a few ways we stay active outside here in Cle.

Personally, I think the key to a great workout is confidence in what you’re wearing. These pieces are breathable and move with you. Personally, as a woman with thicker thighs, anything white on the bottom scares me, but the full fabric is smooth and slimming, and the high-waist absolutely doesn’t budge, so theres no time wasted yanking up your pants during a flow, spin, or run! One of my favorite aspects of Athleta is the way it seamlessly goes from workout to social- just pair with a jean jacket and you’re good to grab dinner anywhere!

So very thankful for a body that is able to move and grow, and for amazing companies in the world like Athleta, who are empowering women to be their best selves everyday.

Thanks for being here, friends! & Thanks to Thomas C. Sawyer for these pictures!
